My hômage to Bonfire Night.

This was by design and to a certain extent a total fluke, but sometimes you need that bit of luck when you're experimenting or taking a bit of a risk with a technique.

I had the shutterspeed set to a couple of seconds as I was walking to the shops the other evening with my daughter. There was a fair bit of traffic both ways, so I thought I'd see what I could capture. The first attempt revealed nothing but the accidental exposure that I took whilst swinging the camera by my side revealed THIS!!

It could be any kind of Catherine-Wheel or sparkler trail, so I dedicate this to a man after many of our own hearts (at least soem of the time, eh?). Mr Guy Fawkes Esq.

For some reason, I see lots of jewelry bling-bling at some gala event, which I'm guessing has absolutely nothing to do with your Mr. Guy Fawkes Esq. I especially like the purplish hues smile

Hey Psych, you are one lucky sod to get an accidental pic like this!! As you say, when one tries to recreate this type of shot, it just fails miserably. Well spotted before ditching the pic. Regards, Neil.
